Beastie Boys  It all began in 1983, Ad Rock joined as guitarist of the Punk Rock group formed two years earlier by his two accomplices. Guilty of smoking a few singles such as "The cookie puss", the trio was spotted by the producer Rick Rubin who sign on Def Jam and became their DJ. hip-hop touches he brings to the group lead to the success of their first album, released in 1986, Licensed to ill, a mixture of rap and punk with humor potache in the texts. This drive leads and sales flows to four million copies in the United States, a first for a rap disc. The Beastie Boys show their artistic freedom plaque New York to Los Angeles where they meet the Dust Brothers. They produce Paul's Boutique in 1989 and give the group a taste of the instruments. A crowning success came late this disc, first misunderstood and then considered by some as their best. Under the colors of their own label, Grand Royal, therefore they take guitar, bass and drums for Check Your Head released in 1992.
Mario Caldato Jr. becomes part of the band is the sound engineer / producer who assists them in their many experiments, collages of sounds, samples and various instrumentations.
