 | When Elton John and Billy Joel staged their first “Face to Face” tour in 1994 they probably had no idea that they would end up being the “longest running and most successful concert duet in pop history” – but fans weren’t surprised. Both men are members of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, both have sold well over 100 million albums worldwide and both are seen as living legends in the music world. Since all good things must come to an end, fans probably thought they’d seen the last of the “Face to Face” tour when it wrapped in 2003. That is, until September 2008, when Elton casually remarked in an interview with GQ magazine that he’d be touring again with Joel.
